Hope Platt specializes in First-Party Insurance litigation, representing policyholders against their insurance companies. Prior to joining the firm, Hope spent over four years as an insurance defense litigator handling First-Party Property, Coverage, Premise Liability, Bodily Injury, and Uninsured Motorist claims. The experience she gained from her years in the insurance defense industry gives Hope insight into many of the tactics used by carriers.

Prior to working as an insurance defense attorney, Hope was an Assistant State Attorney in the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office where she served in a variety of divisions as a trial lawyer. She tried more than 80 felony and misdemeanor cases including attempted murder, gang violence, drug trafficking, economic fraud, and domestic violence and was selected as the environmental crimes prosecutor. Her extensive background allows her to apply her broad experience to vigorously represent policyholders. She uses the knowledge and skills she learned while representing insurance carriers to zealously represent and protect policyholders against the injustices perpetrated by Florida’s major property insurance companies.

Hope received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Florida, Cum Laude, and her Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center where she graduated Cum Laude. She served two years as the President of the Palm Beach County Chapter of the Nova Law School Alumni Association.

In addition to the Florida Bar, Hope is very active in the Palm Beach County Bar Association where she has served as the Criminal Practice Committee co-chair (2016-2017), co-chair of the Social Justice and Racial Equality Committee (2020-2021), Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL), Membership chair (2021-2022), and FAWL committee member (2022-present). Since obtaining her law degree, Hope has litigated actions in courts throughout the State of Florida.
