A native of Haiti, Ducarmel grew up in Pompano Beach, Florida, and graduated from Dillard Center for the Performing Arts. He attended Morehouse College where he earned a B.A. in Political Science, graduating with honors and was inducted into the Delta of Georgia Chapter of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. He holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
Ducarmel represents and counsels policyholders in all matters against insurance companies. He is an experienced litigator with a demonstrated history of working in the insurance industry, including as an Associate General Counsel of a large, multi-state property and casualty insurance company.
Ducarmel honed his trial skills as a Lead Felony Prosecutor with the State Attorney’s Office for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit in Broward County, where he prosecuted 1st Degree Felonies and Felonies Punishable by Life in Prison. He has acquired extensive experience in both civil litigation and criminal law during the course of his legal career, trying over 25 jury trials and over 100 non-jury trials.
Ducarmel serves as a tutor and mentor with the Man of Tomorrow Program, Zeta Alpha Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. His other community service endeavors include presentations on police interactions with youth organizations in Dade and Broward counties.
