Chanel M. Fanor focuses her practice in the area of first-party property insurance litigation, where she advocates on behalf of homeowners.
Prior to joining Weisser Elazar & Kantor, Chanel spent 2+ years at an insurance defense firm representing insurance companies in first and third-party claims. She uses the experience and knowledge gained while defending insurance carriers to now zealously advocate for homeowners in claims and lawsuits against their insurance companies.
Chanel is a South Florida native, who graduated from Florida State University, with a Bachelor of Science in both Finance and Applied Economics. She earned her Juris Doctor from Florida A&M University College of Law, where she was an active member of the Black Law Students’ Association. She is licensed to practice in Florida and is admitted to practice in all State Courts, as well as the Federal District Court for the Southern District of Florida. She is also a member of the Broward County Bar Association and the Haitian Lawyers Association.
Chanel is an active member of her church, enjoys traveling with her husband, working out, and spending time with her family and friends. She is also a self-proclaimed foodie.
