For fifteen years, Aaron Velmosky represented large corporations’ interests in nearly each of Florida’s counties. By doing so, he helped lenders, title companies, and, most recently, insurers flex their financial might and resources against the “little guy”.
Now, as an associate for Weisser Elazar & Kantor, he is able to draw upon his considerable experience to finally aid the individual by helping Florida’s property owners recover contractual insurance benefits and proceeds that are due and owing from their insurers. Prior to joining Weisser Elazar & Kantor, Aaron spent eleven years defending Florida’s largest insurance companies as a partner for a prominent statewide insurance defense firm. This experience bestowed invaluable insight into how a property insurer evaluates a claim and calculates its exposure. In short, he knows how insurers think and why.
This knowledge allows him to, not only, explain how the insurance carrier intends on defending a coverage dispute, but also to allow homeowners to manage expectations by understanding what must occur before they can obtain the compensation necessary to return their damaged property to its pre-loss condition.
Aaron resides in West Palm Beach with his wife Angela, a school teacher, and two children. Although, he is not a Florida native, both of his children are. Moreover, he has resided in South Florida longer than any other part of the country, so it has become home. In his down time, Aaron usually can be found trying to show that he still has it (with the rest of the has beens) on the soccer field or as a spectator — either on the soccer field with his son, in the gym cheering on his daughter or on the couch “billieving”, or at least praying, that his beloved Bills stay on top of the East.
